Standard Tennessee highway limits generally allow loads up to 8 feet 6 inches wide, 13 feet 6 inches high, 53 feet in trailer length, and 80,000 pounds gross vehicle weight. Narrow rural roads and bridges may create additional practical restrictions.

Accurate dimensions, gross and axle weights, trailer information, pickup conditions, and the proposed route are needed to assess narrow rural roads, bridge restrictions, hills, and gated property access before dispatch.

Oversized farm or equestrian equipment leaving Franklin may be limited during Nashville-area rush hours, holidays, severe weather, or poor visibility. Tennessee permit conditions may also require daylight movement and restrict travel on narrow rural roads at certain times.

Farm and equestrian equipment leaving Franklin should be loaded on a trailer suited to the machine’s dimensions, weight, and property access. Chains, binders, ramps, winches, tires, brakes, lights, flags, and warning devices should be inspected, with special attention to hills, gated entrances, and livestock activity.

Farm and equestrian equipment routes near Franklin should account for hills, curves, narrow roads, bridge limits, suburban traffic, and gated property access. I-65, US-31, and TN-96 provide primary connections, while the final approach should be checked for low branches and limited turning room.
