Santee, CA
Farm Equipment Transport

Legal dimensions and weights in California depend on the vehicle configuration, axle spacing, roadway, and loaded trailer. We confirm the equipment measurements before dispatch so a load that exceeds the applicable width, height, length, axle, or gross-weight limits can be handled under the proper permit.

When a Santee shipment requires permitting, accurate loaded dimensions, axle and gross weights, trailer configuration, origin, destination, and route are needed. Tractor Transport coordinates those details before dispatch so the carrier is operating under the correct permit conditions.

Pilot cars are not required for every oversized farm machine. Escort needs depend on the permitted width, height, length, roadway, and route conditions, with the issued California permit controlling the final requirements for the move.

Permitted loads moving through Santee must follow the travel periods and route conditions listed on the permit. Holiday restrictions, congestion, construction, weather, or unusually large dimensions can change when the equipment is allowed to move.

The trailer must be suitable for the machine's weight and dimensions, and the equipment is secured with properly rated chains, binders, and tie-down points. Oversize moves may also require signs, flags, lighting, or escorts based on the permit and route.

We review routes out of Santee for hilly terrain, heat, freeway interchanges, narrow rural roads, wildfire conditions, and limited maneuvering room. Loaded height, trailer length, bridge clearances, road width, turning room, and the last approach into the farm or delivery property are considered before pickup.
